Region 21 Hall of Fame Award
The Region 21 Hall of Fame Award is presented to a past or present Sweet Adeline who has “given selflessly of her time, talents and expertise for the love and joy of singing and who has had a profound impact on the entire membership of Region 21.”
This is a once in a lifetime achievement, in that an individual may receive this award only once.
The Hall of Fame Awards for 2008 have been presented to the following two women:
Patty Cobb Baker

Amazing, Dedicated, Evolving, Illuminating, Visionary, Dynamic,
Passionate,
Inspirational
With her
strong music skills and organizational ability, she has developed a
long range education plan for the Region which will continue to put
Region 21 in a leadership position in the organization. Bringing top
talent to our region, she has provided quality education for our
singers. She has her finger on the pulse of what Region 21 members
need and strives to provide it in every educational opportunity
whether musical or administrative. She says she has a passion for
education and helping others learn. She has demonstrated that by
what she has brought to her chorus which is shared on the regional
and international level. She’s organized, thoughtful, and to quote
to Jana “she’s little but she’s loud”. Obviously, she is not your
typical ‘blond tenor’! She continues to promote the standards of
musical excellence that Region 21 demonstrates. She’s the tenor in
the 9th place International quartet Shimmer, and a member of our
2008 International Chorus Champions, Harborlites. She is always
gracious and has a humble manner.

Too
often those who work behind the scenes are not acknowledged for the
impact they have on the region. Her position entails long hours and
attention to detail and a commitment to excellence which is
certainly a standard for Region 21. Her positive attitude, humor,
ingenuity creativeness and just plain hard work are the main reasons
she is a recipient of the Region 21 Hall of Fame Award. She is
a member of the Regional Convention Steering Committee, serving as
CRC last year. She is a hardworking member of the Scottsdale Chorus.
She is our Regional Registrar for all education meetings as well as
Regional Convention and makes sure that your name tag is correct.
You can count on her to get the job done. She is funny, caring, and
efficient and always has the answer to any question!
